Coverage Line

How Coverage Line covers your agency after hours

Coverage Line takes over your agency's phone when the office closes. It answers every call, sorts it into one of three types, and handles each one the way you told it to. When a caregiver calls out, it texts and then calls your roster until the shift is covered or a person on your team needs to step in.

Step 1

Your office closes, Coverage Line picks up

Your calls forward to Coverage Line at the hours you choose, like weeknights after 5 PM and all weekend.

Callers hear a friendly greeting with your agency's name. Your number stays the same.

Step 2

It figures out who is calling and why

A new family looking for care.

It asks who needs care, where they live, what kind of help they need and when they want to start. Then it books a consultation on your calendar.

A current client or family member.

It takes the message, notes the client's name and logs it. If the caller says something urgent, like a missed visit or a fall, it alerts your on-call person right away. For a true emergency it tells the caller to hang up and dial 911.

A caregiver calling out.

It confirms which shift, which client and why. Then it starts filling the shift.

Step 3

How a call-out shift gets filled

  1. Coverage Line checks your roster for caregivers who can work that client and that time.
  2. It texts them the open shift.
  3. The first caregiver who replies yes gets it. Coverage Line confirms the shift with them.
  4. If no one replies, it starts calling caregivers one at a time.
  5. Caregivers with a standing exception for that time, like no mornings because of school drop-off, still get the text in case they're free. They don't get a call.
  6. If the shift is still open, your on-call person gets an alert with everyone who was contacted, so you're not starting from zero.

Step 4

You get the morning report

One summary lands in your inbox each morning.

It lists every call, who called, what they needed, what Coverage Line did and anything still open. New leads are marked so you can follow up first.
